Information kept on your phone

Games, player names, settings, temporary recovery, lesson progress, imported voice packs and prepared coaching audio are stored locally. The app does not require a Chess Prism or ChatGPT account. Your games and coaching text are not uploaded to a developer cloud language model. No developer analytics SDK is included.

Optional Chess.com imports

If you import public games or enable automatic preparation, Chess.com receives the selected username and ordinary connection information, including IP address. Its policies apply. The app does not request your Chess.com password or private messages.

Advertising in the public edition

The public edition uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's consent service for session-break and optional rewarded ads. Google may process device or advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from connection information, interactions and diagnostic data. Advertising privacy choices are provided where required. See Google's privacy policy. The private edition contains no advertising or billing SDKs.

Reward credits

One confirmed rewarded ad grants one local ad-free credit. Credits skip eligible automatic ads and are not transferable or redeemable for money. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes them. Credits and subscription credentials are not included in exported backups.

Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are not available in the current testing build. Before activation, this policy will identify the purchase-verification host and its actual logging, retention and deletion practices. Google Play will handle payments; the app does not receive payment-card details. The planned verification service receives a purchase token, random installation identifier and package name, verifies the subscription with Google and returns a signed entitlement.

Voice and permissions

Device Voice uses installed offline English voices advertised by your text-to-speech provider. Expressive packs are imported using Android's document picker. Chess analysis and coaching synthesis are local. Internet and connection status support imports, ads and purchase verification when enabled. The public edition uses scheduled background jobs. It does not request microphone, camera, contacts or broad file access.

Your controls and deletion

Delete saved games individually, clear prepared caches, remove imported voices and disable automatic preparation in Settings. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local information; exported PGNs and backups must be deleted separately from their saved location. Android automatic backup is disabled. Device and service providers may process data under their own policies; contact support for privacy questions.

Support website

This static site has no sign-in, analytics scripts, advertising scripts or contact form. Email links open your mail application. This website is hosted by Google Firebase Hosting. Firebase processes visitors’ IP addresses to provide hosting, detect abuse and analyze service usage. Google states that Hosting retains IP data for a few months. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
